Conversion of a 50 liter fridge with ammonium -water cycle to Solarpower.
  • removal of the electric resistance that originally powered the fridge (very carefully !)
  • this receiver is enlarged by winding copper wire around it
  • secondary reflector is fixed only for small portion of stray light
  • insulation of the fridge with polystyrene (80mm), backside with rockwool
  • insulation is covered with offset aluminum
  • transformation of a small satelite dish into a Scheffler-Reflector, the fridge needs 80W

Minus 15,4 degree Celsius in the upper compartment,
10 degree Celsius in the main compartment

It is necessary to work some more on the capacity of retaining the cold. So that during a very warm night or a rainy day the items in the fridge don´t warm up.
